- Clinical: improve diagnostic and prognostic accuracy, offering personalized precision treatment for kidney patients.
- Industry: develop non-invasive biomarkers and therapeutics to accelerate biomedical translation.
- Institutional: strengthen disease-oriented biomedical data value.
Cohort Overview
Covering Taiwan's real-world kidney disease spectrum
Enrollment targets adults clinically requiring kidney biopsy, spanning three major clinicopathologic categories:
Diabetic kidney disease and hypertensive nephropathy
Diabetic kidney disease and HTN nephropathy are the leading causes of ESRD in Taiwan.
Glomerular diseases
Disorders affecting the kidney's filtering units (glomeruli), leading to proteinuria, hematuria, and progressive loss of kidney function.
Tubulointerstitial Diseases
Conditions involving the kidney tubules and surrounding tissue that impair the kidneys' ability to regulate fluid, electrolytes, and waste removal.
