Renal function tests (eGFR, proteinuria) often fail to reflect true tissue injury. TRTOI is tissue-based, integrating multi-layered omics data to uncover the molecular mechanisms driving kidney disease progression.
Whole-genome sequencing
Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) identifies single-nucleotide variants (SNVs), indels, structural variants, and copy-number alterations to characterize the genomic landscape of kidney disease.
Transcriptomics
Kidney biopsy samples undergo RNA sequencing following microdissection to quantify ~ 20,000 genes and identify key transcription factors and disease-associated pathways.
Proteomics
Blood and urine proteins are analyzed using the Olink® PEA platform to identify non-invasive biomarkers for kidney disease.
Digital pathology
Quantification of fibrosis (IFTA) and glomerular lesions with AI-assisted image analysis, linking tissue to molecular profiles.
